Onto the Volto Santo way: from Lunigiana towards Lucca
Along a secular path, once crossway of cristian pilgrims and traders, we'll walk part of an itinerary that used to link Lunigiana valley to Lucca through Garfagnana, also known as Volto Santo itinerary.
From the village of Pieve S.Lorenzo through Ugliancaldo and Equi Terme we'll reach Monzone. All these villages have preserved the atmosphere and the prospective of the medioeval travellers. Our trekking offers, besides, great views on the highest peak of Apuan Alps range: mount Pisanino
- Meeting point and time: 8.00 a.m railway-station FS of Lucca. Train 8.25 a.m. to Pieve S.Lorenzo
- Duration: 5-6h. Elevation gain/loss: + 400m; - 350m
- Lunch on the way, pic-nic style (self managed)
- Getting back to Lucca railway station in the late afternoon.
