Via Francigena:from Cisa Pass to Lucca
Entering Tuscany from the North walking along the Via Francigena is a really unexpected experience: descending from Appennino ridges to Lunigiana valley we'll cross several settlements (some of them of few inhabitants, but still alive!),and a fair amount of medioeval bridges and creeks that enhance the medioeval atmosphere.
Then once we've reached the plain of Sarzana, we can enjoy tiny architectural buildings, while reaching the coast at this point becomes a true goal after the ancient roman ruins of the port of Luni. Finally entering Lucca province we will have the stronger feeling of the "pilgrims signs" that succeed in letting us thiking that "yes, we're really on the way to Rome!"
